Workshop
1 hr 30 mins
This interactive workshop explores participatory methods used with marginalized populations in low-middle income countries to inform the design of online and offline health interventions. We will also identify the challenges, opportunities, and best practices for applying these methods in other industries.
Tuesday, 7 November - 13:30-15:00 GMT, 8:30-10:00 EST, 5:30-7:00 PST
Registration opens: 9 October
RegisterInclusive design has made a lot of strides in recent years, but it can still be a challenge to incorporate methods and activities that are participatory, fun, and accessible to diverse audiences. Whether you’re an experienced designer or new to the industry, this session will help you grasp the mindsets and values foundational to creating inclusive user experiences.
This session will explore several participatory methods and codesign activities used during the design research and rough prototyping phases of two projects in East Africa, that aim to increase education and access to health services amongst young people and providers. What’s more, we will review best practices that can allow you to create a roadmap for using these methods in your own industry, organization, and role to ensure users are always at the centre of the design process.
